14.12.2008 Hello everybody I would like to thank all fans for their fantastic support during the year 2008. The journey, that took me around the world from Europe to Russia and Japan, was magnific! The RAGE concert together with the Symphonic Orchestra in my hometown Minsk in Belarus was surely the most impressing one. 
All the clinics and producing the workshop DVD in Tokyo was great fun, thanks to all the companies who made this happen. 
In motorsport, I could celebrate hard-one success this year. Furthermore, a song I produced, was presented on the "Essen Motor Show 08" to be the next years presentation title for the RCN racing series, where I will start again with my racing team in 2009. 
The year 2009 will start with 2 new CD releases: On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of RAGE, the EP "Gib Dich Nie Auf" will be released on 16th of January 2009, the new Mind Odyssey CD "Time To Change It" on 27th of February 2009. 
RAGE are also planning some concerts to celebrate the 25th anniversary. I'm really looking forward for a combined tour with Mind Odyssey. That means: 3 hours on stage, first with Mind Odyssey, after that full power with RAGE...., will surely become a challenge for me;) 
One of the biggest highlights of 2009 will certainly be the participation of RAGE at the Bundes Vision Song Contest on 13th of February 2009 in Potsdam. On 20th of January 2009, we will be guests at Stefan Raabs "tv total" show again, presenting our new song "Gib Dich Nie Auf". I've been told, that many people don't believe, that a metal band will win this contest again, but I truly believe in Germany's Metal heads. I wish you all a "Merry Christmas" and a "Happy New Year". Please think about your health while celebrating;)

01.10.2008 - Workshop DVD in "Young Guitar" magazin (Japan) - - New photos at photo section - A "Special DVD" with Victor Smolski is published in the October's edition of Japans biggest guitar magazine "YOUNG GUITAR". The workshop is about some instrumental versions of RAGE and Mind Odyssey tunes, as well as about lots of single riffs and scales, which are played slow and fast, filmed in the fix angle and different point of views, according an instructional DVD. 
Furthermore, Victor talks about his equipment. The DVD recordings to Victor's live performance took place in the Japanese MI guitar institute in Tokyo during the latest RAGE Japanese tour in July 2008. 
To every track of the DVD, you can also find additional notes and tabs in the magazine, just like Victor's did at the last workshop for "YOUNG GUITAR" in May 2005, where he presented tracks from "Unity", "Soundchaser" and "Welcome To The Other Side". In September's edition of "YOUNG GUITAR" you can also find an interview with Victor. 
Another live report of the RAGE concert in Tokyo has been published in September's edition of the Japanese "BURRN!" Magazine.

26.08.2008 - Victor as special guest at "Feuerengel" - - Recordings for new Mind Odyssey album finished - - Young Guitar magazin DVD (Japan) - - Solo show in Wacken - - Yamaha show with Billy Sheehan confirmed - - Victor looking for even more speed - On 3rd of October, Victor will be special guest at the show of the Rammstein cover band called "Feuerengel" at the Matrix in Bochum. You can expect a fantastic show with lots of show effects, pyros, costumes and a sound near by the original. 
Victor has finished the recordings for the new Mind Odyssey album in the Yellow Prison studio (Berlin) in cooperation with Mario Le Mole and Dan Uhden (Pandea; Mind Odyssey) at the mixing console. The new CD is an absolutely interesting development of a progressive style with a new sound. The release date by Napalm Records isn't fixed so far. 
During the last RAGE tour in Japan, Victor recorded a workshop - DVD for the famous Japanese musicians magazine "Young Guitar" in the musicians institute in Tokyo, after the readers have chosen him to be the "next guitar hero". The workshop material will be released in the next 3 months, including an interview as well as a couple of tunes and notes / TABs. 
On Thursday, 31st of July 2008, Victor rocked a solo show at the Wacken Open Air in the Metal Market. The show and the following interview have been recorded for the "Wacken 2008" DVD. RAGE can be also founded on the "Wacken 2007" DVD. 
After the music fair in Frankfurt 2007, Victor's going to play a gig with Billy Sheehan (Ex-Mr.Big) once again. The show will take place on 4th of September 2008 in Vienna. 
Looking for even more speed, Victor thinks about getting a pilot license!"

17.05.2008 - Again, Victor will take part at the 24h race on the Nürburgring - - Orchestra version of "Lord Of The Flies" recorded for computer game "Windchaser" -  Manni (Grave Digger) also keeps his thumbs crossed! Again, the Nürburgring with the legendary "Green hell" will be home for Victor for a couple of days, where Victor will take part at the 24h race - the biggest race event of the year!. On wednesday, 21st of May, Victor's gonne take part at the corso showdrive, and on Thursday, 22nd of May, he'll take part at the Rundstrecken Challenge with his new BMW M3/E30, car number 160, which was prepared by Veytal Tuning. On Friday, there are 2 qualifyings for the 24h race. On Saturday at 3 p.m., Victor will start into the 24h race with a BMW M3/E46 of dizzy-motorsport, having the start number 221. All fans are welcome to visit Victor at the box 20 or at the team-tent at the truck of dizzy-motorsport. Everybody who ain't gonna make it to the Nürburgring, can see the whole 24h race on DSF in TV. An orchestral version of the song "Lord Of The Flies" from the new RAGE album "Carved In Stone" was recorded especially for the computer game "Windchaser". The recordings took place at the beginning of January 2008 in the Inspector studios in Minsk (Belarus), the home country of Victor Smolski, who was responsible for the arrangement and mix also. 09.05.2008 - Tourreport of the RAGE European tour 2008 -  Hey all together! Finally home! 6 weeks touring through Europe was pretty hard, but as well pretty cool! First of all I'd like to thank my band-buddies Peavy and Andrè for these many good shows, together we set on a real good setlist and rocked the stages! Really refreshing and different to all Rage-moods so far, was the guest appearance of Jen Majura - these two songs have become the most pictured performances during the whole tour. Also I would like to thank Schrörg, our friend and booker from Dragon Productions, who was always there to find solutions for any problems which the tour brought up. Furthermore my thanks go to our Rage-crew: Charly at the sound, Jürgen at the lights and Sascha on stage. These guys have been working for 3 Bands almost through out the whole tour, what at the end seemed to be little too much - this fault we'll never do again.
The perfect support from our endorsement companies ENGL (great sound of the new Invader 150), Yamaha, Cordial Cables and Thomastik-Infeld Strings (since I'm playing the Powerbright strings, I never broke any string again) helped us a lot to survive this tour having a great sound without being faced to any equipment problems. The very best thing on this tour has been once again our fans, who have supported us with their screaming and shouting song after song and show after show. Thanx! Their energy makes us forget about our tiredness and keeps us kicking asses daily - for me it is sometimes quite funny to see how people are able to sing along note for note even my guitarsoli. On the other hand it can be very frustrating to see some dudes sleeping on our monitor-system, completely drunk or, just like it was in Fulda, after the second song hearing somebody shouting at Peavy "Take off your panties!"!? As well not very nice it was to hear dumb racist comments about our Austrian guestband during our stay in Bad Salzungen, as well as it turned out to be not funny that our beer has been stolen from our backstage. Dear all promoters, I'd like you to understand what musicians and especially the crew are physically going through during a tour, so at least there should be showers in a club! What I've never expected in middle Europe, as for example Germany, that there couldn't be found any hot water in some clubs!? (Hello!? Did the civilisation leave you behind???)

At the March issue of the Gitarre & Bass magazine, which will be available on 22nd of February 08, there will be a comprehensive guitar workshop of Victor Smolski. 
RAGE will be present at the Frankfurt music fair 2008 a couple of times. On Friday, the 14th of March, there will be a autograph session on Nuclear Blast booth E41, hall 4.2 at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the 15th of March, RAGE will perform live at the Agora stage, hall 3 at 10.30 a.m., afterwards there's a autograph session at the ENGL booth, where Victor Smolski will also do a solo performance there. On Saturday, the 15th of March, there's another autograph session at the "Gitarre & Bass" booth E62, hall 4.0 at 3 p.m. You're invited!

05.01.2008 - RAGE produced 2 video clips - - Drift & Drive ice training in Austria - Shortly before Christmas, RAGE have shot two video clips for their new album "Carved In Stone", featuring the songs "Lord of the flies" and "Open my grave". While "Lord of the flies" is a dark and occult clip with a lot of actors and guests (like singer Jen Majura), "Open my grave" presents more the musicians of the band on their instruments. The location was a very old basement-cavity from the beginning of the 18th century, which is located under a whorehouse! The clips were produced by Katja Piolka, who had RAGE infront of her lences already before. 
At the "Motorsport" section, you'll find a report with lot's of photos of the "Drift & Drive" winter training, Victor lately took part at the Lungauring in Austria. Have a look....

S E A S O N S - G R E E T I N G S
Hello Metal-Classic-Racing-heads, !!! ...and again another whole year has passed, time is running so fast, faster than you can realize... At full throttle on guitar and racing circuit - and already reached the finish line: A lot of dreams came true for me this year! People who still remember my last sentence on "From the Cradle To The Stage"-Rage-DVD, about that I'd love to organize and offer a great show with band and orchestra to all RAGE-fans one day might know, that this dream came true for me during this year's Wacken Open Air! There's no chance on doing it better than doing a huge RAGE-show infront of 100.000 fans with my own orchestra and good ol' friends with whom I started my musical career! At the beginning of 2007 I had great fun, composing and producing a sampler with best metalsingers for Nuclear Blast's 20th anniversary. Together with André Hilgers on drums, we have put a lot of fresh "raging" energy into the new "Carved In Stone" CD! I still have no idea which song I like most on this album... somehow all of them became great. Many thanks go out to Charly Czajkowski for all his patience in studio. I'm already looking forward to present all these songs live on tour to all our fans. Another dream was to finally reach the first position in a longdistance race on the Nürburgring - and that I realized even 2 times this year! Both of these victories made me forget the real bad accident I had during the 24h-race! Many thanks go out to Veytal-Tuning, my racing team and good pals, for great support during this season! Our new M3's gonna be even faster... In spring 2007 the doors to my UNITY MUSIC SCHOOL in Hamm were opened and this year I did so many workshops worldwide like I've never done before. In 2008 there also gonna be an official comeback of my former band "Mind Odyssey" und we're about to start over with a Best-Of album by the beginning of the year! Great feeling, to awake all these gorgeous songs again to living! Many thanks to all my friends, fans and endorsement companies for your support!
