S E A S O N S - G R E E T I N G S
I would like to wish you nice Christmas holidays and all the best for 2007!!! The year 2006 was a real successful year. We did a fantastic tour with RAGE (a few Off-days more would be nice...) Here, I would like to say thanks to "Schrörg" from our booking agency Dragon Production. Another beautiful adventure was the signing of my first professional racing contract at RTCC, where I gathered lots of race experience during many races. At the last race of the season on the Nürburgring, I won a real big cup. The most challenging job was the DVD recording of a RAGE concert in St. Petersburg. I was very nervous, as it was a lot of things to organize for me, but at the end I was glad, that evrything runs perfect. The fans will get a very interesting product with more then 6 hours of material on 2 DVD's. At the end of the year, a difficult decision was to be made - the split with Mike Terrana as RAGE drummer. Nevertheless, there's a bright perspective in front of us: We definitely won't cancel a single show. At the moment I'm busy with the production of the Nuclear Blast 20 years anniversary sampler. (at the link below, you'll find a detailed studioreport) Thanks a lot for the great support to all fans, friends and endorsement-companies.
"Happy New Year"! See you at the shows next year...

06.12.2006 - RAGE split with Mike Terrana - Since a while there's rumours about Mike leaving RAGE, so now Peavy and Victor speak to the public: From now on we won't continue our colaboration with Mike because personal and musical differences that exist since a while, became unbearable. This cut is definitely not easy for us, but to avoid damage for RAGE, we have no other choice. Unfortunately there's not much left from our former unity, since a while, comunication between Mike and us broke down completely, so we have to pull the emergency brake. We decided to work with a new drummer in the future, because we don't want to ruin it all to a point, where's no future at all. We want to keep our power and joy in music, so there's no other way. We are aware, how much this Line up meant to you (and us), but that's life. A band, especially a three-piece, is like a relationship. Over the years we just developed apart from each other. We wish Mike all the best for his further carreer. Nevertheless, there's a bright perspective in front of us: We definitely won't cancel a single show and work intensely at the moment, to present you a suitable new drummer soon. We have lots of plans for the next year, among others we'll play some exclusive orchestra shows for you. We hope you all keep the faith in the future and promise, to keep up with our quality level to 100% . See ya soon! Yours Victor |

28.10.2006 - RAGE DVD - - Nuclear Blast compilation CD - - Festivaltour 2007 - - Racing season 2006 - I would like to say sorry to all my students all over the world, but unfortunately I have so much work and stress right now, that I can start teaching again in February 2007 at the earliest.
We just finished the work on our new RAGE DVD, so Nuclear Blast can start the production now. This DVD will surpass by far our last DVD "From the cradle to the stage". The (planned) date of release will be the 23rd of Feburary 2007. I would like to say thanks to everyone who has joined and helped us, to realize this DVD. Momentary, I have started to work on another new big project - a compilation CD for the 20th anniversary of Nuclear Blast. It will be an album with about 10 songs of various metallbands of Nuclear Blast history, inclusive a new RAGE song, which will be completely composed, recorded and prodced by me. The organisation is big stress, as it's not so easy, to get musicians from all over the world with different tour- and studio timetables together for one schedule. A detailed studioreport of this production will follow. I'm really looking forward, to start the festival tour in 2007 (inclusive Wacken). This will be another huge note-work for me. Beside the "Suite Lingua Mortis", composed by myself for the last RAGE CD, we also perform and play many songs from the "Lingua Mortis" and "13" album of RAGE together with an orchestra! For these shows I will write even more orchester arrangements for rage-songs. As we are in the lucky position of being headliner at the Wacken festival, our fans can expect a great show with real long setlist.
The year 2006 was the most eventful year during my racing career. At the motorsport section you'll find a completing info of the racing season 2006 and photos of the last race (4 hour final race VLN on the Nürburgring) in this season 2006 with Kissling Motorsport and their well-prepared Opel Tigra. |

05.08.2006 - Video clip - - New live DVD's - - Report of 24h race - - Solo CD box available - During the last RAGE European tour, Victors solo was tape-recorded by the fan Marcel, who was impressed by Victors guitarplaying, and made it available for using on the webpage. Click on the photo or at the links at the start page, to watch the recording (47 MB).
At their lately attended Russian dates, RAGE have recorded a show in St. Petersburg infront of almost 15000 visitors, to produce a new live DVD. During their show, Peavy, Victor and Mike used a special designed laser & light show, something similar is hard to find. Also the setlist was slightly changed, covering the highlights of the "Speak Of The Dead" album (the suite was also played completely) and some highlights from earlier band phases, which were not available on the last DVD. At the moment, RAGE is editing and mixing the material, working on some interesting bonus material also. The exact time of release isn't fixed yet, but it was discussed with Nuclear Blast, that the DVD will be released beginning of 2007 at the latest. Also some concerts of the last Russian tour of Kipelov, where Victor Smolski joined the band as guest guitarrist, were recorded and will be available as a live DVD at the end of the year.
Like the year before, Victor Smolski again took part at the 24h race on the legendary "Nordschleife" of the Nürburgring successfully. A report and some photos of the race you can find at the motorsport section.
Lately, Drakkar Classic has released Victor Smolski's Solo CD's "The Heretic" and "Majesty & Passion" as a 2 in 1 box, which is available at the MUSIC AND WEB Online Shop for a "Nice Price".

11.05.2006 RAGE Europeantour successfully ended Enjoying all conveniences of my flat after more then 5 weeks in the tourbus, I would like to say "thanks a lot" to all parties for their efforts at the great success of the RAGE european tour. (apart from some shows in Scandinavia - we really have to build up this market) The tour was quite exhausting and tight, but perfectly planned and organized by our booking agency Dragon Production. Thanks also to Peavy and Mike for their part at the success of the tour and for the raving volume on stage (it's still whistling in my ears...haha) Furthermore special thanks to the best RAGE crew of all times (Charly / soundengineer, Sascha / guitartech, Jürgen / light & stagedesign), at our "Queen of Merch." Jenny, who took care of our fans heart-warming, and at Helge, our busdriver, who brought us home savefully. Thanks also to our supportband Freedom Call and for the great support of our endorsement companies and Nuclear Blast. I would like to excuse for the sound, which was particulately not perfect, but we have to work with the material, which is provided. That's sometimes not easy and burdening the nerves, but due to the great fans, "thanks a lot", it hasn't changed anything at the great vibes during the concerts!
To get away from that Rock & Roll trip, I will concentrate myself at some race training and at the first two championship of RTCC (Russian Touring Car Championship) in St.Petersburg and Moscow. On the circuit I will collect lot's of energy to be fit for the test flight with a Mig 29!! Furthermore the motorsportfans should notice the days from 15th up to the 18th of June. At this time I will take part at the Castrol-Haugg-Cup with my black BMW Alpina B6, and with a white Alfa Romeo Cup racecar at the 24h race on the Nürburgring. See you....
