Metal X-mas
Metal X-mas to all fans, friends, endorsement-companies and everybody who supported me in the last year. Every musician needs this feeling and energy of support like a car needs petrol! If you want to be fast you need a lot of it... This year was a year of great happenings: Recording a very cool album with Mike and Peavy, great shows at Bach-festival, Wacken, USA and Korea, the successful tour with Helloween (thanks to you "Pumpkin-heads",the friendliest headliner-band I ever played with, and to all Crew-members, especially to Charly and Jesus!), the most craziest and dangerous 24h Race at the Nürburgring, and last but not least: Opening the doors to my Metal-Club! Next year after working at our Rage-DVD I will go back to studio to finish my Solo-CD, which I delayed a few times because I concentrated myself on working with Rage. As a little present I have a lot of new MP3 files at my website! Thanks for all and a "Happy New Year"! See you at the shows next year... |

25.10.2003 RAGE Jubileetour in January From 22nd up to the 25th of January 2004 RAGE will play 4 concerts on the occasion of their 20 years band jubilee. The concert will offer a accoustic set and a extensive Best Of Program, which will also be recorded for producing a DVD later on. The venues information you can find at the "Dates" section. |

13.10.2003 Rage Unplugged Show Numerous of RAGE fans had been on the road during the last days to take part at one of the RAGE unplugged concerts at the RoFa in Ludwigsburg, the Halford in Berlin or in Victors Tenne Club in Hamm Pelkum. As you can see at all the guestbookentries and the enthusiastic faces during the concerts the longest way was worth it. Peavy, Victor and Mike offert a brilliant and impressing unplugged show, supported by Thomas Fichtl at the accoustic guitar. With songs like Afer The End, Turn The Page, Flesh And Blood, Deep In The Night or Falling From Grace RAGE presented a musical highlight and also lots of time for the fans at the autograph hour later on.

21.09.2003 Workshop and Car race in Moscow On 30th of September Victor will give a guitar workshop at the B2 Club in Moscow. On 04th of October he will take part at the Grand Prix VW challenge cup at the Louzhniki Sport Complex in Moscow.

11.08.2003 Europetour with Helloween - Headlinertour in December On 20th of October 2003 RAGE will start a 6 weeks lasting tour as special guest together with Helloween. Having the chance to present themself to the old and new fans in the bigger concert halls, RAGE has decided to do it this way. As the tour is passing through 16 european countries, many fans beside the normal routes through Europe have the chance to see RAGE again after many years. A headlinertour in December will follow. |

05.08.2003 Successful concert at Wacken Open Air At the URL www.recordlabel.de the Metalheads could create their own WOA running order out of the 62 confirmed bands in the forefield of the 14. Wacken Open Air. RAGE was at position 7 at the end. 16.07.2003 New Cover Artwork Finally here is the cover artwork for the new RAGE album "SOUNDCHASER", designed by Joachim Luetke. "SOUNDCHASER" will be released on 29th of September and will be presented by some unplugged RAGE concerts. More details we'll give you later on.

12.06.2003 Soundchaser, 24h Rennen, Bachtage Hi RAGE fans, Victor Smolski here Together with Peavy and Charlie Bauerfeind we've finished the mix of the new songs for "Soundchaser" album last week and we are happy and really satisfied with the result. "Soundchaser" will present some surprises: after a very unusual intro you will face a raising up from song to song, a "heavy kick in the ass"!! At "Flesh And Blood" there is an exotic Sitarsolo with high gain (one of my favourite songs), at "Secrets In A Weird World" there are bombastic keyboard arrangements for the progressive fans and at the end you can hear the voice of guest singer Andi Deris (Helloween). On Thuersday, the 19th of June 2003 at 8 p.m. you can meet Peavy, Mike and myself at the METAL CLUB TENNE to get more information to "Soundchaser", next month we will again offer some music files at our webpage My participation at the 24h race on the Nürburgring was a very special experience for me. Unfortunately after more then 23 hours of hard fight for positions Beckers racingsportteam and myself had to park the BMW M3 just 15 minutes before the end of race with some defect at the steering, being at an excellent position number 4 at our class. Many thanks to Beckers Rennsport, to all the RAGE fans among the 200.000 visitors at the ring, to all the sponsores and our guitar strings sponsor "THOMASTIK-INFELD". Also our concert during the Bachdays in Leipzig was very successful and we had lots of fun. Many thanks to the organizer of Werk II Oliver Naumann.

08.05.2003 31. international ADAC 24-hour Race with new Racingcar From 28th of May up to 1st of June 2003 again more than 150.000 enthusiastic visitors will besiege the legendary Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, to watch hundreds of racing-drivers day and night at their fights for positions at this worldwide unique circuit. One of the racing-drivers will be Victor Smolski, who will start at the 24 hour race together with 3 other guys at the highest class with the new BMW M3 from Beckers Rennsport. You are welcome to visit Victor at the box. (Box Nr. 33)

11.04.2003 Musician competition in Metal Club Best musicians and band, who played live in Victors Metal Club during the last 2 months where choosen out by the audience recently. Victor handed over some by YAMAHA sponsored prizes like YAMAHA guitar, by RAGE signed Meinl Cymbals and a weekend in the VPS studio yesterday. Congratulation!!!

12.02.2003 Preparing for new CD Since some time Victor Smolski, Peavy Wagner and Mike Terrana again collected ideas for new RAGE songs, which they will form to another RAGE CD, having the working title "Soundchaser". In April they will record these songs at the VPS Studio in Hamm and at the middle of May Charlie Bauerfeind is going to mix and master these songs in the "Mi Sueno" studio of Andi Deris (Helloween) in Tenerife. |

04.02.2003 Successful opening of Metal Club Last Sunday lot's of Metal Metalfans celebrated the opening of the Metal Club in Hamm Pelkum as well as Victor Smolski's birthday with 100 litre free beer. Headbanging and airguitar competition, where you could win some rare RAGE T-shirts, live music by Victor and the band Osyris, who even played the RAGE song "Refuge" together with Peavy and Victor, interviews with Peavy about the plans of RAGE for 2003, with Victor about his engagement and next plans at the Metal Club and about his racing team "Beckers Rennsport", who even came with their BMW M3, contributed for a successful, eventful start of the Metal Club "Tenne"!! 08.01.2003 Great Workshop and fantastic CHRISTMAS SHOW At workshops and concert during the Grafschafter Jazz- & Rock-Tage 2002 and at an fantastic concert with Victors band RAGE in a packed Zeche in Bochum at the end of 2002 musicians and RAGE fans could enjoy Victors incredible guitar playing, which engendered a real storm of enthusiasm at the visitors of those events!!
