25.10.2002 Again successful At the last running of the Castrol-Haugg-Cup on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring Victor was successful with his car. Even there were adversity weather conditions he reached the second place in group F over 2 liters.

11.10.2002 Europe Tour successfully ended Hi dear fans, Victor Smolski here. After the end of the RAGE Europe Tour I am slowly getting back into a normal rhythm. It is a super feeling sleeping undisturbed again, without listening to multiple snoring choirs, but after a couple of months I will certainly miss this brutally loud stage, the parties every evening and stinking dressing rooms. The best and most comfortable tour I ever had together with RAGE was our Japan tour in August, where promoters have lots of respect for musicians and actually I miss that here in Europe. Despite all that organisational problems (time length of our set) which caused a lot of stress from the beginning of the European Tour, I enjoyed the tour very much and it was successful for both bands. I would like to say thanks to all concerned: Continental Concerts (Kick ass Fleisch), to our long standing crewmembers Charly, Holger, Skid, Jörg and our new guitar technician (actually a super guitarrist himself with a super sound) Sascha, Ian and our busdriver Elmar. Also I would like to say thanks to the band Primal Fear and their crew. Mat, I wish you a successful tour with Sinner. Ralf, together we'd make the best "Heavy Metal Racing Team "! This tour surely wouldn't have been so successful without the support of "you, our fans" - thanks a lot for support! When we go on tour we like to support our record company and our current album first, we hope you understand. And every musician has lots of fun presenting his new songs live. Often it happens that a song is just played in studio during recording, and after that never again. That does not mean that we've forgotten fans of our older stuff or that we don't like to play the old songs. We always try to find a compromise between old and new RAGE songs, what is not easy. For all the fans who didn't got enough of the old hits during the Europe Tour we will be presenting a "Special Old Medley" during our Christmas show on 29th of December 2002 in the Zeche in Bochum! And please don't hold it against Peavy, that he didn't get every single crew member on stage to say "thanks" personally. Becuase our time onstage was limited to 75 minutes, he tried to utilize the whole time of set. Finally I would like to say thanks to Peavy and Mike! It was great fun to rock together with you on stage! To get my head "music-free" again after the tour, I will take part in the "Castrol-Haugg-Cup" race on 19th of October 2002 at the Nürburgring and I will really have the pedal to the metal! To all the people in Belarus: The scheduled concert for electric guitar and orchestra at the Philharmony in December has been shifted to another concert hall. Everybody who's interested in this event can send me an eMail with his telephone number and I will call you back personally to inform you about the new date and place of concert. Best regards  |

At the MP3 / Tab section you'll find MP3 files, tabulatures and notes to some songs of the actual RAGE CD "Unity" as well as "Lunatic" from "Welcome To The Other Side". In the next "Metal Heart" magazine there will be a story and some interesting pictures from Victors race week on the famous circuit "Nürburgring". Unfortunately the World Rock Festival in Korea, where RAGE was booked as one of the headlining bands, was cancelled last week. |

04.07.2002 Lot's Of News Today Today there are lot's of news for you: In the Magazine "Guitar", which will be available today, there is a workshop with Victor printed. While listening to the CD, which belongs to the Magazine, the guitar fans can learn how to play some songs out of the current RAGE album "Unity". Also in the newest japanese "Young Guitar" there's an interview and workshop by Victor, in the July issue of Gitarre & Bass magazine you can read an interview by Peavy and Victor. On the Wacken Open Air 2002 Victor will give 2 worshops together with Mike Terrana (RAGE) and Jens (Grave Digger) on Friday, 2nd of August 2002. On Saturday, the 3rd of August he alone will show his talent at another workshop. From 29th of November up to the 1st of December 2002 Victor will take part as a dozent at the "3. Grafschafter Jazz- & Rock-Tagen 2002" in Nordhorn again. On the 7th of December 2002 Victor will give a solo concert together with the Symphonic Orchestra Belarus at the Philharmonie of Minsk.

13.06.2002 Victor was busy again Everybody who likes listening to radio plays should listen to the new 6 CD's collection of "Point Whitmark" adventures, released by Edel music, where Victor Smolski and the Symphonic Orchestra Belarus were co-operating at the musical parts lately. Everybody who likes the more heavier music should place the new CD of "Perzonal War" called "Different But The Same" (AFM records) (another support band at the show in Cologne during last RAGE Tour) into the CD player, where Victor has contribute some soloparts. |

08.05.2002 24 Hour Race on Nürburgring Within the scope of the 24 h race on the Nürburgring, the beautiest and hardest track on earth, where again more than 100.000 visitors are the guarantee for an fantastic atmosphere, Victor Smolski take part at the legendary 500 km race at the socalled "Nordschleife", which is famous for it's incalculabillity. There are 73 curves, 33 times it goes to the left, 40 times to the right, gradients of maximum 17 percent and descents of 11 percent have to be mastered lap for lap. In the "Green Hell" driving abillity will be more important than power of the cars engine. On Wednesday, 29th of May there is a circular show tour with autograph session at the course, on Thursday, 30th of May there is a training and on Friday, 31st of May there will be the 500km race!!! 07.03.2002 Autographs after RAGE concert Hi Fans The songs for the new RAGE CD are finally recorded, mixed and mastered and also the injury at my hand fortunately cured real quick. Actually "Unity" is the best and heaviest album I ever recorded. We have decided to produce a videoclip to the song "Down". Interesting for fans from Belarus: On 21st of March at 20:00 o'clock there will be a press conference in Minsk with radio and TV and a Jam Session afterwards. (Restaurant - Club Nastalgia / Ivanovskaja 43). As "Straight To Hell" on the "Welcome To The Other Side" album, "Dies Irae" on "Unity" is a real special song for me. Both, "Down" and "Dies Irae" we will play live during our concert on 16th of March at the Frankfurt Musik Fair. The concert, sponsored by Behringer, will start at 3:30 pm in the Music Hall Festhalle on the "Arena" stage. Before that I will take the floor at Behringers booth E71/F71 hall 4.1 at around 1:00 pm. There, at the Behringer booth, RAGE will give Autographs at 4:30 pm and at 5:30 pm we are present at Siggi Guitars, hall 4.0 booth J96. For me, a highlight on the new CD is the instrumental song "Unity". I experimented with lot's of new guitar sounds and included many different solo styles. I don't know any song of other bands which is comparable to "Unity"! Before the release of "Unity" we will again offer you some MP3 files for the first taste at the RAGE ON webpage. 11.02.2002 New Video Clip On 17 th of March RAGE will fly to Minsk (Belarus) to record a new Video Clip there. Director Jankovski, who already worked together with Victor during the production of Mind Odyssey's "Schizophenia" clip, will work together with RAGE for two weeks then. |
